as we're Reaching out 2 You...

We took up the opportunity to have cell at home and found it to be a struggle rather than a smooth journey. We started only with 2-5 members and at times, we even had a record of only 1 member attending the cell. We had wanted to give up and even rested (not having cell) for 2-3 weeks because we were wondering if really... really it is God's will for us to even have it due to the lack of response. Is there a need for a cell?

One ordinary Friday, God instilled something extra-ordinary in our hearts. We decided to resume cell and had only 2-3 members. We carried on... and then, there we realised our mistake. We were trying too hard on our own to gather more people to this cell. We believe it is God's will for us to have cell but for the gathering of His people, let's just leave it to Him. We repented, we prayed and we uphold everything to God. May it be only one member or 2 or even half, we will carry on...

Guess what? God is indeed an AWESOME GOD. The following week itself, we had around 5-6 members and we found out that there's a group of boys that are eagered to join our cell. We didn't even went about promoting and God led them to us. We welcomed them and from that Friday onwards, we have an average attendance of 10 members every week. Isn't God amazing? Sometimes we need to let go so that God can take control...

Now, that's not the end... he even provided the cell leader/host with a BIGGER house. Yes and where the leader goes, we the members follow :) and we got a bigger place and space. It was God all the while, from the beginning to the end. His ways are better than our ways, His plans are bigger.. much bigger than our plans.

Last two Fridays, we learned about making into God's team. If God were to pick His best team, will any of us make it to His team? (now, answer truthfully...) We probably have to be among the best, the fittest, the strongest, the best of the best to make it.. Well then, we better start exercising... ar 1... ar 2... ar 3...

Er.. Thank you Mr. Don Desmond. That was.. er.. a good exercise. ok..ok.. Back to the topic, still will anyone of us make it in God's team? I mean it's the Best team right... well... not exactly. You see, God sees the heart and chooses His team after the best has been picked. That means, after all the BEST has been picked by the rest, God picked His best from the remaining rest. He picks the losers, those rejected and made them winners in Christ.

Romans 8:28-30 ~ And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified.

5 points on how God pick His team...
1) He pick those He knows (for those He foreknew..)
2) He chose those He predestined
3) He pick those He calls
4) He justifies those he calls
5) He glorifies those he justifies

Now we know that glory awaits those in His team. It's like knowing that we will win even before entering into the field for a football match. Isn't that over confidence? Well, the following verse in scripture Romans 8:31 states this ~ If God is for us, who can be against us? hmm... It's not about us. It's all about Him.

I pray you will be blessed by this reading.

Reaching to you (R2Y) cell meets every Friday from 8.00pm to 10.30pm at Bandar Botanic. Feel free to join us at any time. We welcome you. God bless...
