Hey guys and gals, can you hear where the sound is coming from? The trees are alive… with the sound of music…. La..la..la..la… No, not that sound of music. It’s the one that jingle ling ge-ling and fa la la la la mix with chi boom chi boom, with a little bit of woooo and aaaa.. And a whole lot of other sound and laughter. Yes, it’s the Royal Rangers Christmas Caroling team!

Time has its constraint but we still managed to pull through with very few song practice and a huge 50 carolers. Yes, a big five zero people. We had to split to two teams so that we will not scare the host of every house that has invited us =)

The year’s caroling theme was HAWAIIAN Christmas, and yes, we all came in our colourful attire complete with flower. Awww… aren’t we adorable? Want to cubit? Yes, you can cubit the one wearing blue Hawaiian T-Shirt. Haha..

Even though we didn’t post anything on the board, the response was overwhelming. We had 18 houses calling us to their home to spread the JOY of Christmas, as well as the reason for the season.

To add to the Hawaiian environment, we even hired two ukulele players for each team and they were fantastic. How fantastic? Imagine singing ‘silent night, holy night’ at a faster tempo and with a smile on your face. We even had one host asking us to repeat the song so that they can capture it in their video. Wow… a RR Christmas album next eh?

Grace PJ Selangor # 7 joined us this year with our caroling as well. It was a wonderful time that we had together, since we don’t see them so often. I am sure that they enjoyed themselves a lot as well.

We traveled from one house to another, singing Christmas carols, spreading Christmas Joy. At one occasion, we somehow couldn’t find the house and we started walking in the neighborhood. The residents couldn’t help but to come out and check us out. But as soon as we found the house, it was time to fill them with Christmas Joy.

We even took the opportunity to pray for each host and their family. This I believe is a God given opportunity for all Rangers that has participated. Seeing God use us as His instrument of peace, and hope for the families and also the neighborhood. It is a simple prayer but it goes a long way for the families and the people around.

As tired as we were, approaching the last house, I am sure everyone had their fair share of fun and fellowship. Not to mentioned, Cmdr. Kwang Yew and the leaders appointing the rangers at random to pray for each family =) Hey, it’s a privileged to be chosen to pray.
And yes, I know… Cmdr. Kwang Yew; Christmas is over. We have got to move on… Is it? Well, I beg to differ. Cause if Christmas is really the birthday of our Lord Jesus Christ, then, Christmas begins every time someone open up their hearts to receive Him as his/her Lord and Savior. And it is happening every day in someone’s life, right now.
Merry Christmas to you, wherever you are, whoever you may be. Welcome to the family of God!
