2010 LMA Class

Please be informed that the Leaders Medal of Achievement (LMA) classes will begin this Saturday (17th of April 2010). The purpose of LMA is to provide you with skills and knowledge that will improve your effectiveness as a Royal Ranger Leader!

The required elements to earn the LMA are:-
  • Ranger Basic (8 hour module)
    - This module is the foundational module that all new commanders will be encouraged to attend. Ranger Basics will provide a new commander with all the necessary information he/she needs to effectively lead boys & girls in the weekly meeting.


  • Discipleship 1 & 2 (3 hour each module; 6 hours total)
    - This module is intended to provide commanders with in-depth training in soul winning, counseling, and discipleship issues related to ministering to boys.


  • Safety & the Church (3 hour module)
    -This module will help commanders understand the most important safety issues when dealing with boys during outpost meetings, activities, and while transporting boys.


  • Successful Outpost (4 hour module)
    -This module incorporates many ideas and best practices a commander can follow to create a successful outpost.


  • One Age Specific Activities (4 hour module)
    -This module will provide group commanders ideas, skills, and safe practices to follow when working with boys outside the Outpost meeting.


  • First Aid-CPR from a certified provider

  • One Elective Module - Patrol Method (Minimum 2 hours)
    -This module helps commanders better understand the Patrol Method and how they can take advantage of this outstanding boy oriented leadership style.

  • Overnight Camping (Exempted for those already attended NTC/RKTC)
    -This training module is an overnight campout that prepares Discovery, Adventure, and Expedition commanders to take boys camping.

We will start with the Discipleship 1 & 2 followed by First Aid on a later date. Below are the details for the 1st & 2nd Module:-

  2. Venue : Grace Klang Fellowship Hall

  3. Time : 3.oopm - 9.00pm

  4. Module Fee : RM 10.00

  5. Attire : RR T-Shirt

  6. Others : Bible & Stationary

Please register at the Fellowhip Hall latest by 2.50pm. The class session will begin at 3.00pm sharp in order to complete full session by 9.00pm. Dinner will be provided by the Grace Rangers Council.


First Aid Module will be on the 15th of May 2010, time and venue will be confirmed.
