Selangor #1 Bowling Championship

A warm-up round before the Championship begins.
(Photos courtesy of Mr. David 'Superman', with a lowest score of 29..haha)

The prestigious trophies for the Champions.
(The mineral water not included)

Some came with home-made balls. Custom made actually.
(This gorgeous flaming orange ball belongs to Com. Larry...his ball can 'pusing' one)

Com. Kenny & 'Jie-jie' Pat psyching themselves up before the game.
(Look at Com. Kenny showing the "I'm No.1 sign"...you'll soon notice why)

Here's Com. Joseph doing a little warm-up. Also working on his foot work.
(Let's do the twist...style must come first)

Key-ing in names & a little debate on who should go first.
(Only professionals does this)

A total of 24 bowlers.
Ranging from Lieutenants to Councilmen.
With fans & supporters lending their support from the back.
Where bowlers had to focus very hard to not let their ball enter 'longkang'.

Where style must come first, then only quality.
Where strikes only counts if the pins crashes with the sound 'PRAANG!!"
One strikes/spares, the other Hi-Fives to lend them their power.
Some even talked to the ball.
Some scolded the pins.

Encouragement at all times.
Dissapointment, "Haiya! Throw properly-la" at all times also

This is Selangor #1's Bowling Championship...

"Gaya, Mutu...Keunggulan"
(Style, Quality...Excellence)

And after battling out for 2 hours...
The winners for the
Sel#1 Bowling Championship 2008

Com. Kenny Chew takes home the
 Individual Male Category
(With a high score of 189...remember the "I'm No.1 sign")

Com. May Lai lands herself the
Individual Female Category
(With a high score of 130)

Com. Zach, Larry, David, Toby, Yoga & Mike Damo (not in picture) bags the
Team Event Category
(With a whopping overall high-score...score sheet below)

It was smooth sailing through out.
(No challenge)

And lastly,
there was a special challenge thrown by the Councilmen.
A challenge trophy engraved with the champions name.

Councilmen versus Outpost Commanders  versus Lieutenants

The trophy goes to, none other than...

The Councilmen.
Consistent encouragement & determination thru out.
They were the rightful winners.
They claimed the trophy with just an extra 10 points away from the Lieutenants.
(Chairman, Herbert Ong was the 'backbone' of the group with whopping high score of 181)

Stay tuned for more.
A league is coming up!
Selangor #1 Boleh!!!
