The Royal Rangers has officially started and we started off with a Christmas Party. Oh yes, another article about Christmas. Yes, yes… we just can’t get enough it. The rangers were treated with carols and games and of course, gifts from their outpost. Each year, the commanders will buy a gift (sponsored by Grace Klang council) for every ranger under their care.
The games this year was planned in-line with the Christmas celebration.
Taken from the book of Luke Chapter 2 verse 4, So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger because there was no room for them in the inn.
Since everyone was excited about the Joseph and Mary’s marriage, we played the proposal/Marriage and Angry game. Look at how some of the leaders had two proposals. Haha..
We had the rangers split into four teams before blindfolding them and mix them around. Then, in their moment of darkness, they have to be attentive enough to listen to the calling of their leader. They are the sheep and their leader, their shepherd.
Who’s having the star? Who’s following the star? The rangers were made to decide which leader they want to follow and which of them are having the star. It was hilarious watching them decide to change group at the very last minute.
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14”Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”
Merry... ok..ok.. i'll stop.. i'll change... Merry New Year, guys and gals =)
