Looking back at some of the photos taken during the Selangor # 1 25th Anniversary, I come to realize that I have missed out on one of the most important events in the Royal Rangers calendar. The Silver Jubilee celebration is indeed a milestone and it’s definitely not an easy one to achieve. I for one, thank God for the Royal Rangers Ministry as it has not only impacted my life but helped shaped me into what I am right now.
I wasn’t there as I have to attend a family function but I can understand the rush of mixed emotion that every ranger and leader felt while anticipating the celebration. Everyone had wanted it to be a perfect celebration but without human error and some opening glitches, it wouldn’t have been from Selangor #1. Why? Because this is what Selangor ONE has been built upon! No, I’m not talking about making mistakes purposely. I am talking about getting everyone to be involved in the planning and celebration. I am taking about adding a particular ranger and leader’s touch into the celebration. And even though, sometimes things won’t go as planned, we stuck our heads together and pull it through again and again, over and over again. And just some how (you can say it is a miracle) because of these glitches, last minute planning, late night decoration, the Silver Jubilee celebration turns out to be just a perfect celebration. Almost everyone that I asked that was there said that “Yoh, the opening ceremony didn’t turn out well but the whole anniversary was awesome!” It makes me wonder how something that was bad can be said awesome in the same sentence. Something bad but good at the same time. Amazing isn’t it?
That’s the story of Selangor ONE, made of from a council of faithful leaders who stick with the ministry through thick and thin with their never give up attitude, and their eyes focused on … reaching, teaching and keeping boys & girls for Christ. That’s what keeps them going for 25 years… that’s what will keep us going for another 25 years…

Our very own pride and joy this year... and no, they are not babies. They are Ranger Manoj and Ranger David S. who has completed the highest medal of achievement in the Royal Rangers ~ the Gold Medal of Achievement! And what better occassion to recognised and award them than during our Silver Jubilee Celebration.
We are extremely proud of you guys! Go Selangor ONE!
