Last Sunday, 24th June 2007, the Royal Rangers department of Selangor #1 Grace Klang organizes a blood donation drive in conjunction with their 25th Anniversary celebration this year. This blood donation drive is among the events organized to commemorate our Silver Jubilee celebration.
The support from the Grace Assembly and also the resident of Taman Chi Liung was great. It is amazing to see people from all walks of lives walking up to the 2nd hall and just freely donated their blood. Makes you wonder if we were to have blood donation drive every week, will we then collect enough blood for every hospital in our country? Hmm..
Do you know that you have to go through a series of test before they (the nurses from Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah - HTAR) allow you to donate blood? Yes, some of the questions involves whether you are sick, whether you have taken any medication, whether you have enough rest/sleep... and etc. They will then check your blood pressure and weight and also proceed with a blood test before you are eligible to donate.
It was a full house at the 2nd hall immediately after the church service as the church members line up to do their good deed in contributing back to society. In total, we have more than 60 people donated on that day. There could have been even more people if not for the long line immediately after the church service.
Even Don Desmond took the opportunity to contribute his part for the community. Look at him, looking calm before the storm. It is just too bad that the cameraman has to leave and not take a shot of him donating his blood.

Just like what the above malay caption state "Kami memerlukan ANDA", in this world, we need each other to survive. We cannot live in this world alone. Neither will we survive in this world alone. We need each other in this world. And I am surely glad to be a part of this Taman Chi Liung Caring Community, to be a part of Grace Assembly community and last but not the least, to be a part of this great Royal Rangers Selangor #1 Ministry.
